Die aktuelle Ausgabe der ZEIT bietet heute einen grundsätzlichen Blick auf die Umsetzung des Bologna-Prozesses: was ist gut? was kann bzw. sollte reformiert werden? wo gibt es Vorbilder, die diese Reformen bereits angegangen sind?
Thematisiert werden u.a. die Arbeitsbelastung der Studenten, das Studium im Ausland, der Zugang zum Master-Studium sowie die finanzielle und personelle Ausstattung der Hochschulen.

Der Zeit-Artikel trifft meiner Meinung nach den Nagel auf den Kopf. Die meisten Probleme könnten uni-intern gelöst werden, was ja an der MLU offensichtlich schon begonnen wurde.
Ob man die Belastung zu groß findet, ist sicher von Student zu Student verschieden. Was ich aber bedenkenswert finde ist der Unterschied der Bewertung von einzelnen Modulen in den verschiedenen Studiengängen. Zum Beispiel der BA Geschichte verglichen mit Politik: Zu jedem Modul im BA Geschichte gehören eine Vorlesung, eine Übung und ein Seminar. Die Modulleistung ist eine Hausarbeit (mehr nicht), diese bestimmt die Modulnote und dadurch erhält man 5 LP. Die Vorlesungen behandeln nicht die gleichen Themen wie die Seminare und sind dadurch gut besucht und interessant. Außerdem werden verschiedenste Themen angeboten, sowohl in Vorlesungen, wie im Seminar. Man kann wirklich interessante Themen herauspicken und sich intensiv damit beschäftigen. Außerdem gibt es jedes Semester andere Veranstaltungen, ich könnte also jedes Modul mehrmals machen und würde trotzdem immer etwas Neues lernen.
Im Gegensatz dazu gibt es in den Aufbaumodulen der Politikwissenschaft eine Vorlesung mit Klausur, meist zwei Seminare und eine Hausarbeit. Auch für 5 LP. Und mit so gut wie keiner Wahlmöglichkeit. Natürlich gibt es Seminare zu unterschiedlichen Themen, aber das vermittelte Wissen geht bei allen Studenten am Ende in die gleiche Richtung. Zuletzt habe ich mir nicht meine Studienthemen ausgesucht, sondern nur ein Grundwissen in allem angehäuft, dass ich dann aber auch mit allen anderen Bachelor-Absolventen gemeinsam habe. Das eigentliche Studium sollte doch außerhalb des Hörsaals stattfinden, indem man sich vertieft mit einem Thema beschäftigen kann? Ich hoffe, dass wenigstens in den Master-Studiengängen eine freiere Wahl möglich ist.
Wenn man es sich leisten kann oder will, kann man natürlich weniger Module gleichzeitig belegen, was sicher erkenntnisfördernder ist. Allerdings schafft man dann den BA nicht in 6 Semestern. Für mich bedeutet das leider konkret für die Politikwissenschaft mehr Druck und weniger Eigenmotivation, in der Geschichte ist das andersherum…
