Gestorben: eine Mutmacherin
Heute wurde bekannt, dass die Bürgerrechtlerin Bärbel Bohley in Berlin gestorben ist. Sie wurde 65 Jahre alt.
Bärbel Bohley war eine der zentralen Figuren im Wendeherbst 1989 und zählte zu den Mitbegründerinnen des Neuen Forums. Bekannt wurde ihre Aussage „Wir wollten Gerechtigkeit, haben aber den Rechtsstaat bekommen“, mit der sie wiederholt die Aufarbeitung des DDR-Unrechts kritisierte. Ursprünglich Malerin, zielte sie auf eine Reform des Systems der DDR und musste diese im Jahre 1988 gegen ihren Willen verlassen. Zuletzt hatte sie sich über mehrere Jahre in Kroatien um Bürgerkriegsflüchtlinge gekümmert.
