Ausstellung in Halle: „Plätze in Deutschland – 1950 und heute“
Die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Sachsen-Anhalt präsentiert im November 2017 eine Ausstellung in Halle zum Thema „Plätze in Deutschland – 1950 und heute. Eine Gegenüberstellung“. Im Ausschreibungstext heißt es: „Die Ausstellung des Deutschen Instituts für Stadtbaukunst an der TU Dortmund zeigt eindrucksvolle Fotografien von urbanen Plätzen und Straßen in Deutschland aus den fünfziger bis achtziger Jahren, die den Krieg unversehrt überstanden hatten. In der Folgezeit wurden sie dann auf erschreckende Weise durch zweckfunktionale Verkehrsplanung, unproportionierte moderne Bebauung oder durch Abriss ortsprägender Gebäude verändert. Die Gegenüberstellung von Archivbildern mit Aufnahmen der gleichen Situation heute, dokumentiert den Verlust von Schönheit und Aufenthaltsqualität im öffentlichen Raum und möchte ein Bewusstsein für identitätsstiftende und atmosphärische Plätze und Wohnquartiere schaffen. Es geht aber nicht nur um Ästhetik: Die Schönheit einer Stadt ist auch Ausdruck von Lebensqualität und sozialem Miteinander und zudem ein nicht zu unterschätzender Wirtschaftsfaktor.“ Die Eröffnung der Ausstellung findet am 14. November 2017 um 19.30 Uhr im Ratshof in Halle (Marktplatz 1) statt. Zu sehen ist die Ausstellung dann vom 14. November bis zum 8. Dezember montags bis freitags zwischen 8 und 16 Uhr.
