Neuerscheinung: „Die deutsche Demokratie“ von Frank Decker
Soeben ist bei der Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung (BpB) ein neuer Band rund um das politische System der Bundesrepublik Deutschland erschienen, das sich gleichermaßen für Schule und Studium eignet. In „Die deutsche Demokratie“ beleuchtet der Bonner Politikwissenschaftler Frank Decker die zentralen politischen Akteure und Institutionen der Bundesrepublik, thematisiert die politische Kultur ebenso wie Wegmarken der Demokratiegeschichte in Deutschland, ergänzt seine Ausführungen durch eine Verortung des Regierungssystems im Rahmen eines internationalen Vergleichs und stellt aktuelle Herausforderungen der deutschen Demokratie „im neuen Krisenzeitalter“ vor. Ergänzt wird der Text durch zahlreiche Tabellen und Schaubilder, die das Buch zu einem unverzichtbaren Kompendium bundesdeutscher Politik machen. Das Buch dient als Nachfolger des gleichnamigen Werkes von Horst Pötzsch, das erstmals im Jahr 1995 erschienen ist und seitdem zahlreiche Auflagen erlebt hat.
