[GRADSAplus] Exploring career opportunities outside academia for postdocs (November 13, 2026 | onsite)
Career orientation for postdocs
The majority of PhD holders in Germany is working outside of academia. Therefore, a career in industry or society is the norm rather than the alternative but there are limited opportunities during the (post)doctoral phase to explore different options. This half-day workshop offers career orientation for postdocs so they can strategically plan their next steps.
Aim and Content
- Find inspiration for interesting career paths
- Test tools to access and match your skills, priorities and interests
- Start to prepare your CV for applications outside of academia
- Get information on regional employers and offers from the MLU Career Center
Target Audience
Postdocs from Saxony-Anhalt in the early postdoc-phase, doctoral candidates from Saxony-Anhalt in their final year are also welcome to join the workshop.
