[WCGE] Mini-Grants for Doctoral Researchers
The Doctoral Academy “Business and Leadership Ethics” is excited to announce the launch of a completely new feature: doctoral researchers can now apply for Mini-Grants!
The Mini-Grants fund empirical research projects led by doctoral researchers in the areas of business, corporate, and leadership ethics. Three grants of up to €4,000 per person are awarded annually, supporting key phases of empirical work such as study design, pre-testing, participant recruitment, and experiment incentivization.
- Grant amount: up to €4,000 per person per year
- Eligible costs: e.g. participant compensation, materials, software, and research assistant (Hiwi) support; the grant may not be used to (co-)finance the applicant’s own salary/stipend, nor to cover conference or travel costs
- Eligible applicants: Doctoral researchers in business, corporate, or leadership ethics
- Methodological focus: Empirical designs (particularly experiments); qualitative studies also eligible
- Expected outcome: recipients present the results of their study at a suitable event of the Doctoral Academy (e.g. a summer/winter school or writing retreat)
- Next application deadlines: 31 December 2026 & 30 June 2027
Applications must include a project description, detailed budget, CV of the project lead, and a declaration of no full alternative funding. A demonstrable practical relevance is mandatory.
