[AgripolyII] Idea to Impact: Cultivating Initiative and Transfer (May 4-5, 2026)

Written by

There are free slots in a seminar organised by the graduate school POLY within AgriPoly II at MLU.

In this seminar, you will explore the following mindset:

  • How do new ideas emerge?
  • How do we recognize opportunities – and how do we set them in motion?

This workshop is not about starting a business. Rather, it focuses on the entrepreneurial mindset as a way of thinking and acting: creative, proactive, and impact-oriented.

At the same time, the organizers aim to highlight a third path between academia and industry – the space in between, where transfer, collaboration, and societal impact take place. The seminar invites participants to expand their scope for career development and self-direction, to gain a realistic understanding of possible pathways – and perhaps to feel inspired to take a bold step of their own.

[JTC] Collaboration for Impact: Working Across Projects, Teams, and Networks (April 17, 2026)

Written by

Collaboration is at the heart of turning ideas into impact – especially in regions undergoing transformation.

The seminar focuses on how to move from ideas to joint action. You will explore how entrepreneurial thinking unfolds not only individually, but in teams, networks, and real-world collaborations.

Using practical examples of both successful and failed initiatives, we will reflect on what enables cooperation – and where tensions arise. You will develop your own mission statement as a way to provide direction and inspire others, while gaining hands-on experience in networking and navigating conflicts.

Through a combination of theory, practical exercises, and reflection you will discover how communication, trust, and shared vision become key drivers for creating sustainable impact.

Written by

Be inspired by female scientists whose skills and contributions to science were not recognized during their lifetime.

With the help of Gesine Born from the Bilderinstitut and an artificial intelligence, the Research Training Group BEAM is able to portray them as they deserved and as their male colleagues were lucky enough to experience.
