Our world is becoming increasingly connected! Complexity, ambiguity and speed are the results. And everyone wants to be innovative and agile. But what do innovation and agility really mean? And how does it work?

The aim of this course is to establish a common understanding of innovation and agility. Also, the participants will be equipped with the basic skills and frameworks to effectively facilitate innovation. Furthermore, we will learn how to get into the right mindset and atmosphere, so that you can produce of-the-box results. Your leanings are also applicable outside of Design Thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Target Group<\/h3><\/span>\n\n\n\n

Doctoral students and Postdocs who have one or more initial ideas that could be developed into a product or service and want to learn Design Thinking as a facilitation framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

    • Phase 1: What is agile? Are all innovations really innovations? Establishing the right innovation culture. What is and when do you use Design Thinking?<\/li>
    • Phase 2: What are the limits of Design Thinking? What is the Design-Thinking Framework? Hands-on going through the Design-Thinking- Framework<\/li>
    • Phase 3: Where to implement the Design-Thinking-Framework and its tools into your daily work?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      You anchor knowledge and learning experiences through a variety of interactions: Design Thinking Mindset, Design Thinking Framework, Agile Tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Pre-Workshop Preparations &<\/span> Tips<\/h3><\/span>\n\n\n\n
        • Prepare a short presentation (max. 3 mins) about your idea. The format is left to your own discretion e.g. a quick sketch with few descriptive sentences are absolutely enough.<\/li>
        • Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection<\/li>
        • Please make sure that you can access mural.co and zoom.us via Chrome Browser or via native apps (you will receive our zoom-link few days ahead of our workshop).<\/li>
        • We will do an interactive workshop; your video and sound will be switched on.<\/li>
        • Use a raised shelf for your laptop to protect your neck or work standing up.<\/li>
        • Prepare some snacks and drinks to avoid #hangry.<\/li>
        • Have a thick pen (e.g. Sharpie or Edding), a few DIN A4 sheets and a stack of Post-Its of any color ready.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
