Understanding the application rules and the expectations of recruiters is a necessary prerequisite. This intensive training helps you to go through a quickly and successful job-search process outside academia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<span id=\"Content\"><h3><strong>Content<\/strong><\/h3><\/span>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Application Documents<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Content and design of an application<\/li><li>Analysis of job ads and estimation of chances<\/li><li>Individual application feedback in small groups<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Subject \u201cJob Search\u201c<\/strong><br>In the first seminar session, we will discuss which competences are often acquired during a doctorate&nbsp;and their relevance for companies.&nbsp;You find out more about job profiles in the industry which might be interesting for you and how you can find other possible jobs. In a following self-study course, you will get to know various options of active and passive&nbsp;job search strategies, incl. job databases and activities to come into contact with employers. Furthermore, you will understand how to plan and organize your individual search for future employments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Subject \u201cApplication Documents\u201c<\/strong><br>A second self-learning unit&nbsp;will teach&nbsp;you how to write your cover letter and CV, and how best to adapt your application to the job offer. You will see examples for a professional application design, photos and get advice for your certificate selection.
