(May 20, 2022 | online)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the German academic system, Tenure-Track is a relatively new concept. With a tenure-track position, one gets the opportunity to an&nbsp;immediately transition to a permanent position when successfully completing the probationary period (known as the tenure-track phase). The majority of tenure-track positions comes along with a professorship; less common and known are lecturer or researcher positions with tenure-track.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<span id=\"Content\"><h3>Content<\/h3><\/span>\n\n\n\n<p>The half-day workshop will focus on tenure-track professorships in Germany and address the following questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>What are the specifics and legal conditions of tenure-track positions?<\/li><li>How do selection committees work and how is the mid-term and tenure evaluation organized?<\/li><li>What are duties and tasks of a tenure-track professor?<\/li><li>Where do I get help and orientation beyond my home institution?<\/li><li>Q&amp;A<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<span id=\"Target_group\"><h3>Target group<\/h3><\/span>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>doctoral scientists and early postdoctoral scientists<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<span id=\"Term_andnbspApplication\"><h3><strong>Term and&nbsp;Application<\/strong><\/h3><\/span>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-0c210901-4d4f-44ca-885e-0bbad14113c4\"><li>May 20, 2022: 9:00 &#8211; 12:00<\/li><li>Format: online<\/li><li>Group&nbsp;size: maximum 25<\/li><li>Workshop-Language: English<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<span id=\"Registration_complete\"><h3>Registration complete<\/h3><\/span>\n\n\n\n<span id=\"Lecturers\"><h3><strong>Lecturers<\/strong><\/h3><\/span>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Rebecca Thier-Lange works as referent at the Prorectorate for Personnel Development and Structure at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). She supports appointment and evaluation procedures of junior professors (with and without tenure-track) and provides support to advance their scientific careers. She is also project coordinator of the joint Federal Government-L\u00e4nder (federal states) Tenure-Track Programme at MLU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Antje Nolting works as referent for academic staff development at Leipzig University. She coordinates the offers for postdocs in the Leipzig Researcher Development Programme (LRDP) including the Pre-Doc Award.
