Under the heading \u201cpromoting talent\u201d, every year the foundation supports around 1,200 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students \u2013 from all subjects and types of higher educational institutions in Germany and abroad \u2013 who affirm the goals of the Green project. Each year, up to 250 new scholarship recipients join the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of the scholarships is to promote future leaders and experts who are prepared to take on social responsibility, are interested in politics, and work to pass on the basic political values of the Heinrich B\u00f6ll Foundation: ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination and justice. The Heinrich B\u00f6ll Foundation is particularly interested in supporting research projects related to focus areas of the work of the Heinrich B\u00f6ll Foundation.
