It introduced the basic theoretical and technical concepts of infrared spectroscopy in general and the specific features of IRRAS at the air\/water interface. The potential of this technique as well as their applicability to polymeric systems were discussed.<\/p>\n<h2>Contents<\/h2>\n<p>Day 1:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lectures in the morning to understand the basic principle of IRRAS<\/li>\n<li>Lab course in the afternoon to set up an IRRAS measurement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Day 2:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation of research examples<\/li>\n<li>Data treatment<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Lectures<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic principles of IR Spectroscopy<\/li>\n<li>Overview of different IR Techniques<\/li>\n<li>Introduction to IRRAS and its theoretical background<\/li>\n<li>Practical and experimental aspects of IRRAS<\/li>\n<li>Research examples of IRRAS studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Hands-on (lab) course<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparation of Langmuir films<\/li>\n<li>Setup of different IRRAS experiments<\/li>\n<li>Data evaluation<\/li>\n<li>Spectra Simulation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Literature<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Blume, A.; Kerth, A. <em> Biophys.
