It is funded by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dfg.de\/foerderung\/programme\/infrastruktur\/lis\/lis_foerderangebote\/fachinfodienste_wissenschaft\/index.html\">German Research Foundation<\/a> (DFG) <!--more-->and has been maintained by the <a href=\"https:\/\/bibliothek.uni-halle.de\/\">University and State Library Saxony-Anhalt<\/a> since 2016.<\/p>\n<h2>Acquisitions<\/h2>\n<p>We acquire literature from the countries of the Near East and North Africa that is difficult to access mainly in the original language and make this highly specialised sources permanently available.<\/p>\n<p>This is done on the one hand traditionally via the interlibrary loan of the ULB Saxony-Anhalt for printed materials. However, increasingly, we deliver documents digitally as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menalib.de\/vifa\/menadoc\">Open Access<\/a> or as licenses for the<a href=\"https:\/\/nahost.fid-lizenzen.de\/nutzerkreis\"> scientific FID community<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menalib.de\/vifa\/\" class=\"broken_link\">Virtual Library<\/a> MENALIB provides central access to our holdings, offers and services which are available to you via the discovery system <a href=\"https:\/\/menasearch.bibliothek.uni-halle.de\/\">MENAsearch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Range of Subjects<\/h2>\n<p>The FID Middle East-, North Africa- and Islamic Studies sees itself as a partner for a number of smaller, philologically, religiously and regionally oriented disciplines that belong to the Oriental Studies.
