Pitch It Under the Dome.<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"266\" data-end=\"505\">The Image Contest 2026 invites scientists, researchers, and students from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and regional research institutions to share their most compelling scientific images\u2014and the stories behind them.<\/p><p data-start=\"507\" data-end=\"792\">From microscopic structures to simulations, field images, and data visualizations: scientific images reveal worlds we cannot see with the naked eye. This contest challenges you to present these worlds in a way that is visually striking, understandable, and relevant for a broad public.<\/p><p data-start=\"794\" data-end=\"1134\">Selected images will be showcased in a <strong>four-week public exhibition<\/strong>, opening at the <strong data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"914\">Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften on July 3, 2026<\/strong>. break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Send in your digital entry by June 1, 2026. Each submission includes a scientific image and a short bilingual description (German <span class=\"amp\">&amp;<\/span> English) that tells the story behind it.<\/p><h3 class=\"text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold\">Step 2 \u2014 Selection<\/h3><p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Our team reviews all submissions and selects the images to be featured in the public exhibition. Selected entries are produced in poster format and prepared for display.<\/p><h3 class=\"text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold\">Step 3 \u2014 Public Exhibition <em>(July 3\u201317, 2026)<\/em><\/h3><p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Your image goes public. The exhibition opens on the night of the <em>Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften<\/em> \u2014 one of the region&#8217;s most high-profile science events. Visitors can explore the images, discover the science behind them, and vote for their favorite throughout the four-week run.<\/p><h3 class=\"text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold\">Step 4 \u2014 Planetarium Finale <em>(September 14, 2026)<\/em><\/h3><p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Selected images are presented again \u2014 this time projected in full-dome format inside the planetarium. Participants who choose to pitch take the stage for a <strong>3-minute live presentation<\/strong>, sharing the image, the method, and the key message of their research.
