Aus der Reihe „Parlamente der Welt“ – heute: das ungarische Parlament in Budapest. Das 268 Meter lange, direkt am Donauufer gelegene Gebäude ist eines der Wahrzeichen Budapests. Als Vorbild diente – wie unschwer zu erkennen sein dürfte – der Palace of Westminster, Sitz des britischen Parlaments in London. Architekt des von 1885 bis 1904 im neogotischen Stil errichteten Gebäudes war Imre Steindl (Fotos: Ben Lorenz).
