Neue ZParl 4/2019 erschienen
Vor wenigen Tagen ist die Ausgabe 4/2019 der Zeitschrift für Parlamentsfragen (ZParl) erschienen. Ein erster Schwerpunkt des Heftes bildet die Wahl zum Europäischen Parlament (EP) am 26. Mai 2019. Neben Analysen der Wahl sowie deren Ausgang wird die Wirkung von TV-Duellen im Europawahlkampf untersucht und das Sozialprofil der deutschen Abgeordneten im EP vorgestellt. In einem umfangreichen Aufsatz untersucht der Bonner Politologe Frank Decker zum Beispiel, warum das System der gemeinsamen Spitzenkandidaten gescheitert ist. Ein zweiter Schwerpunkt nimmt die Vereinigten Staaten in den Blick: neben einer Analyse der jüngsten Wahl zum US-Kongress geht es um Gegenwart und Zukunft des Filibusters im US-Senat sowie um die höchst umstrittene parteipolitisch orientierte Ziehung von Wahlkreisgrenzen (das so genannte Gerrymandering). Ergänzt wird das Heft von Rezensionen zu aktuellen Themen der Politik- bzw. Parlamentsforschung. Die aktuelle Ausgabe der ZParl ist in unserer Fachbereichsbibliothek einsehbar bzw. über die Webseite des NOMOS-Verlags elektronisch abrufbar.
