Einst liberal, \u00e4nderte sich die politische Gesinnung des Blatts nach der Niederlage im Ersten Weltkrieg zu nationalkonservativ, stand dem Nationalsozialismus jedoch ablehnend gegen\u00fcber. Bis zum Ersten Weltkrieg betrug die Auflagenh\u00f6he ungef\u00e4hr 3500 Exemplare, stieg aber w\u00e4hrend und nach dem Krieg auf zeitweise 100.000 Exemplare an.
