Image Contest 2024

In the world of science, there are countless phenomena that often remain invisible because they are beyond the limits of our visual perception. In our image contest:

Visualized Science: The World Beyond our Senses“

researchers and students from Martin-Luther-University, local research institutes and scientific institutions can exhibit their images during the „Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften“ 2024. Whether it’s breathtaking images of the microcosm taken with a microscope or far-reaching cosmic phenomena captured through telescopes – all imaging techniques are welcome.

The core of this competition lies in the challenge of presenting the scientific background behind the images in a clear and simple way so that it can be understood by a wide audience. The aim is to build a bridge between the scientific community and the public and to raise awareness of the importance of science in our daily lives.

We invite you to participate in this exciting competition and share your unique images and stories to be presented during the „Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften“. Take this opportunity to express your passion for science, demonstrate your creative and technical skills, and help promote public understanding of scientific phenomena. The audience favorite will be awarded a price.
