Dear fellows,
for sample preparation we recommend the following SDS Sample buffer:
Please keep in mind that it is very important that the buffer/sample is free of contaminations, such as keratin (e.g. human from your skin or sheep from clothes).

Here are those of you taking the opportunity to bring an own sample to the workshop:

We offer that you bring along your own protein sample of interest.
Please let us know, if you want to take advantage of this opportunity.
As you see, we’ll have dinner on wednesday.
So…
What kind of food do you prefer?
Do you like to see a microbrewery?
A nice beer garden?
A small cellar bar with a nice terrace?
I am a vegetarian
So, well take this in account.
Something like Italian-style spaghetti with pesto will be ok? Or do wee need to check for a vegitarian speciality restaurant?
Just as a remark, we have a full vegane pizza delivery service in Halle: http://www.freddy-fresh.de/shop/pizza/veggie.html
Anything vegetarian is fine for me…even pizza.
There is no need to check for vegetarian special restaurant.
Thanks
Regards,
Dipali

have a nice day and see you soon! Serena*
Dear organizers,
just a quick question:
As far as I understood from you mail about the samples preparation a purified recombinant protein is more suitable for the experiment than a more complex sample, eg. total protein extract from leaves.
Am I correct?
Thanks
Martina
Dear Martina,
actually no :).
To understand the MS complexity and to see the potential, it is better to prepare a complex sample. Of cause it could happened, that you would not detect your protein of interest, but nevertheless a complex sample makes more sense for this workshop.
Kind regards,
The organizers
