Cycling is excellent for body and mind. It is good for the muscles and lungs, and helps combat physical ailments and defects. Cycling is also a nice change from sitting in the office. Cycling is suitable for most people. There are many good reasons to get on your bike. There is another one in September: The city of Halle is participating in the nationwide Stadtradeln campaign again this year. All university members are also invited to join in!
What is Stadtradeln?
Stadtradeln is an initiative by the Klima-Bündnis encouraging participants to use their bikes for as many everyday journeys as possible over a 21-day period. The goal is to promote sustainable mobility, support climate protection and collect kilometres together as a team.
Key Facts
- Period: 01.09.2025 – 21.09.2025
- Location: Halle (Saale) and wherever else you cycle!
- Join the MLU team: Either individually or by founding your own sub-team – both options are possible!*
- Log your kilometres: automatically via the app, manually entered into your Stadtradeln account in your browser, or in the traditional way on paper, which can be submitted to the local authority
*Here’s how registration works in detail:
- Click on this link to join the MLU team. Your state and municipality are already preset in the registration form. In step 3, “Team,” join the preset, existing team “MLU Halle-Wittenberg.”
- Here’s how to create a subteam: First, assign yourself to a team when you register. Then, once you are logged in, you can “create a new subteam” under “My Team.” You will then automatically become the team captain of the subteam.
- You will then be guided through the registration process. Please complete this process.
