Dr Kastritis was interviewed by the Ministry of Education – he was awarded a very generous grant from BMBF to establish cryo-EM in Halle. Dr Kastritis is a group leader in ZIK HALOmem, and a Junior Professor of Cryo-Electron Microscopy of Membrane Complexes in the Biochemistry Department of the University of Halle.
