Panos and Fotis visited the Cryo-EM facility of Thermo Fisher Scientific in Eindhoven, NL to get a tour of the facility, do some “shopping” and collect tomography data!
Thermo application scientists gave them a presentation on the functionalities and efficacy of the Aquilos FIB-SEM on native cell extract samples. Now we just have to analyze all this data…

Sounds like a fascinating trip, Panos and Fotis! That Aquilos FIB-SEM presentation must have been intense. Analyzing all that tomography data is going to be a real challenge though, right? It reminds me of playing Agario – you start small, think you’re doing well, absorbing smaller cells, and then suddenly, BAM! You’re devoured by a bigger blob. Hopefully, the data analysis won’t be quite so dramatic! Good luck with it all.
