Our group leader Panos was awarded the very prestigious ERA CHAIR grant for his “hot4cryo” project proposal, in order to advance science in the Widening EU countries! More specifically, he will bring all the expertise that our lab has developed in cryo-EM and computational structural biology to Athens, Greece and the National Hellenic Research Foundation, with the goal of establishing the first-of-its-kind advanced cryo-EM facility in Southeast Europe!
This grant, and Panos’ expertise will help advance protein and materials research, train new scientists and contribute to the scientific development of the entire region!
