CORONAmem grant received! Thank you BMBF for supporting our research in battling against COVID-19

I am pleased to inform our fans 🙂 that the laboratory received substantial funding for 3 years to hire 2 post-doctoral researchers and work in the fields of (a) cryoEM and (b) computational biology for COVID-19. We applied together with Prof. Stubbs, crystallographer, and Prof. Bacia, physical chemist, and acquired in total funding for consumables, 5 post-doctoral researchers, a coordinator and some associated infrastructure for “CORONAmem: Molekulare Determinanten der differentiellen Wirtsanfälligkeit gegenüber SARS‐CoV‐2 am Eintrittspunkt”.

We strengthened this grant with our work previously performed with our Ph.D. student Marija and our collaborator from Stanford, Dr. JoĂŁo Rodrigues!
