We have acquired overnight cryo-EM data of apoferritin, and calculations are in agreement with data acquisition in EPU. These days, we are optimizing vitrification of standard protein samples for a high-end data acquisition at the microscope; An image from Warp (http://www.warpem.com/) is shown below, where the defocus estimation highly correlates with the actual defocus series implemented for data acquisition.
Interesting to see the progress with defocus estimation and processing such a large batch of images overnight. Research notes from earlier experiments can be valuable too, and an old handwriting to text converter can help make archived handwritten records easier to use.
