Our perspective on how to implement machine learning tools together with traditional computational analysis for native cell extracts is out!

With our new post-doc Jaydeep, and Staff Scientist, Fotis, we have published our perspective on experimental and computational analysis of complex mixtures, and in particular our favorite ones, native cell extracts!A lot of work awaits 🙂 Read all about it Continue reading Our perspective on how to implement machine learning tools together with traditional computational analysis for native cell extracts is out!

The seminal lab paper is out! Visualizing metabolons from native cell extracts at unprecedented resolution!

Featured

I am feeling very proud and honored to have worked together with my team to publish this seminal work of us in Cell Reports. This work described for the first time the endogenous, full metabolon of pyruvate oxidation with cryoEM Continue reading The seminal lab paper is out! Our point-of-view for the function of disorder in large complexes is out!

We have authored a manuscript where we bring to attention large metabolons which catalyze essential reactions, producing, converting, or accepting small molecules with critical signaling functions. These metabolons include a significant amount of disorder, consistently in important regions for enzyme Continue reading Our point-of-view for the function of disorder in large complexes is out!

1st HALOmem International Meeting – Membrane structure and dynamics: 14-15 Nov 2019

We are proud to co-organize the 1st International Meeting of ZIK HALOmem “Membrane Structure and Dynamics”. We will hold sessions on membrane proteins, biological membranes and function at and across membranes, whereas HALOmem will present its research in an additional Continue reading 1st HALOmem International Meeting – Membrane structure and dynamics: 14-15 Nov 2019

Our paper on the 2.7 Ã… structure of apoferritin with the Glacios and the Falcon 3EC is available as a preprint!

Our paper is available as a pre-print in Biorxiv (https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/738724v1). In this work, we have determined the atomic structure of mouse apoferritin using the Glacios microscope. Its difference comparedd to other 200 keV microscope is its compact design, allowing the Continue reading Our paper on the 2.7 Ã… structure of apoferritin with the Glacios and the Falcon 3EC is available as a preprint!
