Während es in der quantitativen Sozialforschung eine schon länger währende Tradition der Sekundärnutzung von Forschungsdaten gibt, bleibt die Auseinandersetzung mit den Ergebnis-sen qualitativer Erhebungs- und Auswertungsprozesse häufig auf die Primärstudien be-schränkt. Häufig werden qualitative Interviewstudien nicht archiviert, weil Primärforschende nur eingeschränkte Informationen darüber haben, wie Daten für eine Archivierung und Sekundärnutzung vorbereitet werden können. Die Infrastruktur, die die Forschenden, aber auch die Sekundärnutzer*innen unterstützen könnte, ist bisher im deutschsprachigen Raum sehr lückenhaft.
Vielen Wissenschaftler*innen sind die Potenziale, die eine sekundäre Nutzung fremderhobener qualitativer Daten in der eigenen Forschung haben kann, nicht bewusst. Dieses liegt an den Eigenschaften, die der qualitativen Forschung und den qualitativen Interviewdaten zugrunde liegen, und eine Zweitnutzung komplexer gestalten, als dieses bei quantitativen Daten der Fall ist. Für unterschiedliche Forschungsziele, gerade wenn längere Zeiträume rückblickend betrachtet werden sollen, ist die Sekundäranalyse nicht selbst erhobener qualitativer Interviews jedoch von großem Interesse.
Der Vortrag schildert die Möglichkeiten und Besonderheiten einer Archivierung und Aufbereitung zum Zwecke der Weitergabe von qualitativen Interviews. Im zweiten Teil des Vortrages soll es dann einen kurzen Einblick in die methodischen Möglichkeiten einer qualitativen Sekundäranalyse geben, insbesondere die Frage danach, was methodisch berücksichtigt werden muss, um nicht selbst erhobene Interviews einer weiteren Analyse zu unterziehen.
