We have acquired overnight cryo-EM data of apoferritin, and calculations are in agreement with data acquisition in EPU. These days, we are optimizing vitrification of standard protein samples for a high-end data acquisition at the microscope; An image from Warp Continue reading Defocus estimation currently working, 320 images overnight!
Thanks to Warp (http://www.warpem.com/warp/), an amazing on-the-fly image processing suite for cryo-EM data, we are able not only to acquire beautiful apoferritin images with EPU, but also estimate the quality of our image acquisition on the fly!
We have installed our Vitrobot Mark IV and we are about to start vitrifying test samples! Also, ethane connections are finally up and running (red rubber tube connection on the left of the picture).
Already acquiring successful grid Atlases, seems the software is robust and communicates well with the Glacios! On the left of the image, you can see the gridmapping, on the right the feature that was used to calibrate image shifts!
