We have acquired overnight cryo-EM data of apoferritin, and calculations are in agreement with data acquisition in EPU. These days, we are optimizing vitrification of standard protein samples for a high-end data acquisition at the microscope; An image from Warp Continue reading Defocus estimation currently working, 320 images overnight!
We have installed our Vitrobot Mark IV and we are about to start vitrifying test samples! Also, ethane connections are finally up and running (red rubber tube connection on the left of the picture).
Already acquiring successful grid Atlases, seems the software is robust and communicates well with the Glacios! On the left of the image, you can see the gridmapping, on the right the feature that was used to calibrate image shifts!
We are very pleased today with further respolution tests of the microscope. Thon rings of Pltr samples (S114) are visible, we have more than 28 visible in the FFT. You can find the full report here.
We are very proud that acceptance tests for the microscope started today, and we have seen that we go way below company specs with the microscope.
