Im Juni 2016 erreichte uns ein Anruf unseres Tierarztes. Er wollte zwei junge Hengste vor dem Schlachter bewahren und fragte bei uns an, ob wir die beiden kaufen würden. Quentino und Raban, wie wir die beiden tauften, zogen nach ihrer Kastration dann Ende Juni bei uns ein. Die Entwicklung der beiden findet besonders auf unserem YouTube Kanal reges Interesse. So dokumetieren wir seit ihrer Ankunft ihre Fortschritte.
März 2017 verletzte sich Quentino beim Spielen auf dem Paddock. Hufbeinfraktur. Trotz schlechter Erfolgschancen entschieden wir uns ihn behandeln zu lassen. Nun 8 Monate später haben wir das Okay vom Tierarzt ihn langsam wieder zu belasten. Der Bruch ist verheilt, aber die Stelle wird eine Schwachstelle bleiben.
Seit 17.11.17 reite ich ihn fast täglich 10min Schritt. Geplant ist ihn bis Ende 2018 E-fertig zu haben und im Besten Fall in ein paar E-Dressuren vorgestellt zu haben. Ob er im Springen Talent hat, wird sich zeigen. Aber mit Landgraf und Quidam de Raval im Pedigree sieht das ja vielversprechend aus.
