3rd iRTG Workshop (November 20-21, 2017)

Aims

This workshop addresses doctoral students in chemistry, physics, biophysics, and related fields in the iRTG “Polymers: random coils and beyond”. The doctoral students will introduce the basic theoretical and technical concepts necessary for an understanding of projects within the iRTG. The iRTG workshop focuses on experimental and theoretical techniques to study synthetic polymer and biopolymer systems.

Topics

  • Inter- and intramolecular dynamics of polymers
  • Polymeric Ionic Liquids
  • Protein aggregation and amyloid formation
  • Force field based molecular dynamics of macromolecules
  • Structure and dynamics of (bio)polymers
  • Conformational dynamics of proteins
  • Coarse graining approaches
  • Preweeting, homogeneous nucleation
