Goal
How to find a job in the public / private sector – The Complete Package
Agenda
- What are your hard strengths and soft strengths and when are they relevant in the job application process?
- How can you write a good covering letter? Techniques, theory and practice
- Here you will have the opportunity to get some feedback on a one-to-one basis with respect to your CV in English. You send your CV to the trainer who will give you personalised feedback
- Difficult questions in job interviews in English – what are they and how can you answer them?
Each block will last approx. 90 minutes and you will have the opportunity to ask individual questions in the workshop, too.
Outputs
- You will leave the workshop knowing more about your hard and soft strengths
- You will have a covering letter sample
- Your CV will be in English after checking by the trainer.

Trainer
Simon Chaplin is an experienced trainer who works for the Free University (FU Berlin), the Technical University, (TU Berlin), Hamburg University, Leipzig University, Göttingen University, the job centre and the Helmholtz Gesellschaft et.al. He is a native speaker of English who graduated from Aston University in England with First Class Honours and the University Prize. He is qualified as a translator and also teaches business English for German railways, the police, the Volkshochschule and the Commerzbank et.al.
