GSO offers the following workshop for you.
Career paths after a PhD are often portrayed as a logical sequence of steps: you finish your PhD, choose a direction, and move forward from there. In reality, careers are much less linear. People move between sectors, combine roles, change direction, or take paths they never planned for.
How we understand these different paths matters. It shapes how researchers think about their options and how institutions, managers, and others supporting researchers approach career development.
👉 That is why this year’s To Be Honest Conference takes a closer look at nonlinear careers. Across 7 live sessions and with 18 guest speakers, we’ll explore how careers actually develop, what makes certain moves easier or harder, and what we can learn from people who have taken different paths.

Innovation and Technology Transfer are essential parts of CTC’s DNA, the Center for the Transformation of Chemistry. Therefore, the CTC wants to stimulate the entrepreneurial mindset in students, PhD students, Post-Docs, and researchers. To do so, the CTC wants you to learn from role models. At “Meet the Founder” an invited founder will give a talk and present the business idea, the motivation, and the path pursued until today.
After the talk you will have the opportunity to network and chat to the founder. There will also be some snacks and drinks.
