Written by

Mental Health Awareness Days 2025 for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers – Improving your resilience during the early career phases

are a joint initiative of Leipzig University, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, yDiv/iDiv and HIGRADE/UFZ. Organized by its graduate academies and occupational health management units, we want to support you as researchers at our universities and research institutions.

Aims

Our main aim is to inform and sensibilize you on how to cope with demanding or stressful situations during your research. Ideally, the presented topics will help you to smoothen stressful situations and even prevent too heavy mental load. During these three days, you will find various online offers (most of them in English), such as stress reduction in private and professional life, leadership positions and well-being in the academic environment, playfulness in the work context, and time and self-management skills.

Target audience

The event is open to all interested doctoral and postdoctoral researchers of all participating institutions. Supervisors are welcome as well.

Terms and Application

  • Most of the program will take place online so you can participate from Leipzig, Halle and Jena easily from December 2-4, 2025.
  • More information and registration at the MHAD 2025 website
  • Registration will open at the end of October 2025
