From June 2022 the mentoring programme for female postdoctoral researchers, provided by the universities of Halle, Jena and Leipzig, offers eight places at each university for highly-qualified female postdocs, researchers undertaking a ‘habilitation’, junior scientist group leaders and junior professors, to support them in their development and future careers. Applications can be submitted up to February 28, 2022 by the associated university.
The programme aims for female researchers at the universities of Halle, Jena and Leipzig who seek a professorship at a German university and who were awarded their doctorate at least two years ago.
It focusses on one-to-one-Mentoring which is provided by male and female professors from the other universities. Moreover, the programme is accompanied by workshops for key qualifications concerning career development and an exclusive access to an interdisciplinary peer-network. The programme is designed for one year and may be extended for a further year.
The combination of the programme offers participants the opportunity to expand their personal knowledge, skills and contacts, which are conducive to the efficient planning and pursuit of a career in science, according to their individual needs.
