Mentoring program for female postdoctoral researchers 2023-2024

Written by

How do I succeed in scientific profiling?
How do I lead a team safely and successfully?
How do I develop project proposals that are worthy of funding?
How do I build up a sustainable network?
The scientific career comes with some questions and challenges!

The mentoring program for female postdocs at the universities of Halle, Jena and Leipzig will again offer eight places per university for advanced female postdocs, habilitation candidates, junior research group leaders or junior professors from June 2023 to support them in their next career steps.

The program is aimed at female scientists who aspire to a professorship and can demonstrate at least two years of independent scientific activity as a postdoc.

The focus is on one-to-one mentoring by experienced professors from the other university locations. This is flanked by workshops on career-relevant key qualifications and the opportunity to establish long-term supportive interdisciplinary peer contacts. Participation in the program lasts 12 months; an extension for a further year is possible.

The combination of program offerings provides participants with the opportunity to expand their personal knowledge, skills, and contacts conducive to efficiently planning and pursuing a career in science in a targeted manner according to their individual needs.

Information (in German) on the program and for your application can be found at: https://mitteldeutscher-unibund.de/mentoring- programm-fuer-postdoktorandinnen

Application deadline for Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg is February 28, 2023
