[WCGE] Call for Applications: Scholar in Residence Program 2027
Applications are now open for the Scholar in Residence Program of the Doctoral Academy “Business and Leadership Ethics”!
The program annually invites an established researcher in business, corporate, or leadership ethics to spend four to six weeks fully embedded in the activities of the Doctoral Academy and the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics (WCGE). The residency is based in Wittenberg, with the flexibility to also spend part of the time in the greater area (Halle, Leipzig, or Berlin).
- Duration: 4 to 6 weeks (flexible)
- Weekly stipend: €800 (accommodation and food allowance)
- Travel costs: Up to €500
- Eligible applicants: Postdoctoral researchers, junior professors, and professors in business ethics, corporate governance, leadership ethics, or related fields
- Timing: the residency should overlap with one of the Doctoral Academy’s four seminar weeks to allow for close interaction with the doctoral researchers (see the Doctoral Academy website for upcoming dates)
- Upcoming application deadline: November 30th, 2026
The Scholar in Residence benefits from dedicated research time, interaction with engaged doctoral researchers, and the opportunity to present and develop their work. Optional joint projects or publications with WCGE and Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) staff are also possible.
