[IPK] Plant Science Student Conference (PSSC) (July 3-4, 2023)

The Plant Science Student Conference (PSSC) will take place from July 3rd to July 4th 2023 at the Leibniz Institute for Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) in Gatersleben, Saxony-Anhalt.

The conference will comprise two days full of fascinating talks, workshops and social activities. The scientific program will be enriched by the participation of keynote speakers, who will not only introduce you into various fields of scientific research but also into science communication and some basic social skills, we all need for our scientific work.

In addition to PhD students from the IPK Gatersleben and the IPB Halle, PhD students from the CEPLAS program and (after April 3rd) all throughout Germany are invited to take part in the conference. As this is a PhD student conference, first year students who do not yet have final results are also invited to present their topic and introduce into the planned approaches of their research. Other PhD students may have valuable suggestions for you!

Die InGrA sucht eine wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft (m/w/d)

Second funding period of International Max Planck Research School approved

After a successful first period, the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics has been positively evaluated and extended for another six years. The IMPRS for Science and Technology of Nano-Systems (IMPRS-STNS) supports up to 35 Ph.D. students in the field of novel atomically engineered materials for nano-systems.

IMPRS-STNS exploits the successful research network between the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics, the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and the Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems IMWS, Halle,

[yDiv] iDiv Summer School 2023 (September 4-8, 2023)

You can register to the iDiv Summer School 2023 “Integrating ecological and economic theory for modeling biodiversity change”, 4 to 8 September 2023, in Leipzig, Germany! This iDiv Summer School is led by Ulrich Brose and Martin Quaas.

During the five summer school days, participants will learn strategies to run models of complex ecological networks and economic models of how people behave in resource harvesting.
