Lektüren: Neuerscheinung zur deutschen Geschichte
Manchmal lohnt es sich für Politikwissenschaftler ja auch mal in die Nachbardisziplinen zu schauen. So erscheint am 8. Mai ein neues Werk zur deutschen Geschichte im 20. Jahrhundert, das bereits jetzt als „opus magnum“ (Süddeutsche Zeitung) gehandelt wird. Autor ist der Freiburger Historiker Ulrich Herbert. Nähere Informationen zum Buch gibt es auf der Seite des Verlages, die Homepage des Autors findet sich hier. Und hier lässt sich eine Zusammenfassung eines Gesprächs nachlesen, das die Journalistin Franziska Augstein für die gestrige Ausgabe der Süddeutschen Zeitung mit Ulrich Herbert geführt hat. Wir werden nach Erscheinen des Buches hier näher berichten.

Wieso nur 2014? Ich lese jedes Jahr viel und hätte gern noch mehr Zeit; solche 1500 Seiten Schmöker schaffe ich jedenfalls nicht; es sei denn im Schnellscan, aber dafür kaufe ich keine Bücher.
