Der Bologna-Prozess: eine Bilanz nach 15 Jahren
Im Sommer 1999, also vor genau 15 Jahren, wurde von den EU-Mitgliedsstaaten auf einem Treffen in Bologna beschlossen, Studiengänge und -leistungen europaweit anzugleichen und damit vergleichbar zu machen. Damit einher gehen sollten kürzere Studienzeiten und eine größere Mobilität der Studierenden, etwa durch Auslandsaufenthalte und die damit verbundene einfachere Anerkennung der dort erbrachten Leistungen.
Mit diesem Beschluss war der „Bologna-Prozess“ geboren. Seitdem sind auch am Institut für Politikwissenschaft der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg die Magister- und Diplomstudiengänge ausgelaufen und sukzessive durch die Bachelor- und Masterstudiengänge ersetzt worden. Jan Grossarth von der Frankfurter Allgemeinen hat in dieser Woche eine Bilanz dieser Reform verfasst, die hier nachgelesen werden kann.
