Vortrag von Prof. Sönke Neitzel an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle
„Historische Argumente zur Legitimierung von Kriegen – Am Beispiel des Ukrainekriegs“ ist ein Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Sönke Neitzel (Professor für Militärgeschichte und Kulturgeschichte der Gewalt an der Universität Potsdam) an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) überschrieben, der am Montag, den 16.01.2023, um 18:30 Uhr via Zoom stattfindet. Organisiert wird die Veranstaltung von der Hochschulgruppe Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik an der MLU. Anmeldungen können an die Email-Adresse halle@sicherheitspolitik.de gesandt werden.
Zum Inhalt der Veranstaltung erläutert die Hochschulgruppe: „In seiner Rede in der Nacht des 23. Februar zum 24. Februar 2022 bemühte der russische Präsident eine Reihe historischer Argumente, welche sein Handeln der nächsten Tage, Wochen und Monate erklären und vor allem rechtfertigen sollten. Damit ist es das jüngste Beispiel eines immer wiederkehrenden Phänomens: der Legitimierung eines Krieges mittels historischer Argumente. Die Hochschulgruppe für Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik Halle und die Potsdamer Arbeitsgruppe für Sicherheitspolitik wollen gemeinsam mit Prof. Dr. Sönke Neitzel über das Thema sprechen und diskutieren.“
