29. DVPW-Kongress in Göttingen
Vom 24. bis zum 27. September 2024 fand an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen der 29. wissenschaftliche Kongress der Deutschen Vereinigung für Politikwissenschaft (DVPW) statt. In nahezu 900 inhaltlichen Beiträgen befassten sich knapp 1200 Teilnehmende mit dem Oberthema „Politik in der Polykrise“. Das gesamte Programm kann hier eingesehen werden.
Einer der Höhepunkte der Veranstaltung war die Festrede von Bundesverteidigungsminister Boris Pistorius, der auf 75 Jahre Grundgesetz zurückblickte und angesichts aktueller politischer und gesellschaftlicher Entwicklungen zu einem engagierten Einsatz für die demokratische Ordnung aufrief.
Erstmals wurde in diesem Jahr – neben den üblichen Lehr- und Dissertationspreisen – der DVPW-Preis für das Lebenswerk verliehen. Empfänger war – anders kann man es nicht formulieren – die PoWi-Legende Prof. Dr. Fritz W. Scharpf, der in unseren Lehrveranstaltungen vor allem durch den Begriff der Politikverflechtung sowie das Modell des akteurzentrierten Institutionalismus bekannt ist.
Die Keynote-Rede am finalen Veranstaltungsabend hielt Frau Professor Emeritus Brigid Laffan vom European University Institute (EUI) in Florenz. Der Titel der Rede lautete: „In the Shadow of a Polycrisis: The European Union as a Collective Power“.
In drei Jahren wird der 30. wissenschaftliche DVPW-Kongress seine Pforten öffnen – noch ist nicht bekannt, unter welchem Oberthema, an welchem Ort und zu welchem genauen Datum er dies tun wird.
