Regierende Bürgermeisterin Renate Künast?
Wir haben in den beiden vergangenen Semestern in diversen Seminaren mehrfach darüber gesprochen, dass das Parteiensystem in Berlin Entwicklungen vorwegnehmen könnte, die wir in einigen Jahren auch in anderen Teilen der Bundesrepublik registrieren könnten. Die großen Parteien verlieren, zum Teil dramatisch, die kleinen Parteien legen zu und reichen schon an die ehemals als Volksparteien titulierten SPD und CDU heran.
Eine Umfrage hat in der vergangenen Woche gezeigt, dass bei Landtagswahlen in Berlin die GRÜNEN derzeit auf 27 Prozent der Stimmen kämen, gleichauf mit der SPD. Die CDU fällt auf 17 Prozent, die Linkspartei liegt ebenfalls bei 17 Prozent und die FDP muss sich mit vier Prozent begnügen. Schon wird darüber spekuliert, ob die Berlinerin Renate Künast (sie vertritt im Bundestag den Wahlkreis Tempelhof-Schöneberg) bei den Wahlen zum Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus im September 2011 als Spitzenkandidatin den Regierenden Bürgermeister Klaus Wowereit herausfordern soll. Bei den Popularitätswerten liegt sie sogar vor Wowereit. Bei der Bundestagswahl 2009 hat sie mit 26,3 Prozent der Erststimmen (der siegreiche Kandidat der CDU erreichte 32,5 Prozent, die SPD-Kandidatin nur 22,6 Prozent) in ihrem Wahlkreis einen Achtungserfolg erzielt.
In der SPD weiß man nicht, wie man mit einem solchen Szenario umgehen soll. Vielen erscheint es als unwahrscheinlich, teilweise sogar undenkbar, als Juniorpartner unter einer Bürgermeisterin Künast zu agieren. Die CDU hat dies für sich ausdrücklich nicht ausgeschlossen. Unter Umständen läuft die Regierungsbildung auf eine Dreier-Koalition hinaus. Übrigens hat sich Frau Künast noch nicht öffentlich erklärt, ob sie denn im nächsten Jahr wirklich gegen Wowereit antreten will. Beide kennen sich aus dem kurzen Regierungs-Intermezzo von Rot-Grün in Berlin im Jahre 2001, bevor dann Rot-Rot übernahm.
Die Zahlen aus der letzten Woche mögen eine Momentaufnahme sein, denn bis zum Wahltag im September 2011 fließt noch viel Wasser die Spree hinunter; aber wir werden das Thema weiter im Auge behalten.:)
