Die Tea Party Bewegung schickt bei der US-Kongresswahl am 2. November 2010 viele Kandidaten ins Rennen, Marco Rubio (39) ist einer von ihnen. In Florida will er zum neuen Senator des Bundesstaates in Washington gewählt werden. Derzeit liegt der Republikaner weit vor seinem Gegenkandidaten von den Demokraten. Keine Chance dürfte auch Charlie Crist haben, langjähriger Gouverneur in Florida und ebenfalls Republikaner.
