Neue EU-Kommission: Kandidaten auf der Kippe?
Im Gegensatz zur Berufung von neuen Ministern in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland müssen sich neu berufene Mitglieder der Kommission der Europäischen Union vor ihrem Amtsantritt einer Anhörung vor dem einschlägigen Ausschuss des Europäischen Parlamentes stellen. In der Vergangenheit ist es gelegentlich – etwa bei der Kommission Barroso I – vorgekommen, dass einzelnen Kandidaten so viel Gegenwind aus dem Parlament entgegenschlug, dass der Kommissionspräsident sein Personaltableau zurückzog, überarbeitete und dem Parlament erneut vorlegte. Auch in diesem Jahr dürfte es einige Wackelkandidaten/innen geben, wie diversen Medienberichten zu entnehmen ist. Der Tagesspiegel zum Beispiel hat in seiner heutigen Ausgabe einige Details zum Thema.
