Neuerscheinung: „Medienkanzler“ von Thomas Birkner
Von Gerhard Schröder ist der Ausspruch überliefert, alles was er zum Regieren benötige sei „Bild, BamS und Glotze“. Nicht zufällig widmete ihm der Journalist und spätere Pressesprecher Richard Meng im Jahre 2002 ein Buch mit dem Titel „Medienkanzler“. Thomas Birkner hat kürzlich ein sehr viel umfangreicheres Buch herausgegeben, das jeden Kanzler als Medienkanzler beschreibt. Anhand der Amtsinhaber von Konrad Adenauer bis zu Angela Merkel wird in diesem Buch untersucht, wie sich die Medienstrategie des jeweiligen Bundeskanzlers und der Bundeskanzlerin sowie das Wechselspiel von Politik und Medien im Wandel der Zeit gestaltet. Dabei werden Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede analysiert und verschiedene Phasen der Medialisierung der Politik herausgearbeitet. Details zum Buch gibt es hier.
