Zum Einstieg in das neue Wintersemester 2017/18
Mit Stichtag 4. Oktober 2017 studieren an der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg 19.909 Studierende. 4100 davon sind in ihrem ersten Semester eingeschrieben. Diese Zahlen können in den nächsten Tagen weiter ansteigen, da die Einschreibefrist in vielen Fächern noch läuft. Das nachgefragteste Fach war bzw. ist im Übrigen Psychologie, hier bewarben sich 1900 Interessierte auf 40 Studienplätze. Aufgestockt auf 700 Studierende wurden die Lehramtsstudiengänge. Dabei war hinsichtlich der Bewerber der stärkste Zuwachs mit 24,5 Prozent – im Vergleich zum Wintersemester 2016/17 – im Lehramt an Sekundarschulen zu verzeichnen. Auch beim Lehramt an Gymnasien (+17,5 Prozent Bewerber), beim Lehramt an Grundschulen (+14,5 Prozent) und Lehramt an Förderschulen (+ 10 Prozent) war das Interesse groß. Die meisten der neuen Studierenden stammen aus Sachsen-Anhalt. Es folgen die Bundesländer Sachsen, Niedersachsen, Thüringen und Berlin.
