Wahlanalyse der Bertelsmann-Stiftung
Eine weitere Analyse der Bundestagswahl 2017 kommt von der Bertelsmann-Stiftung. Kern der Analyse: „Zum ersten Mal seit zwei Jahrzehnten hat sich bei einer Bundestagswahl die soziale Spaltung der Wahlbeteiligung spürbar verringert. Gleichzeitig zeigt das Wahlergebnis jedoch eine neue Konfliktlinie auf: zwischen Modernisierungsskeptikern und -befürwortern.“ Der Verfasser der Studie, Ronald Vehrkamp, konstatiert: „“Die etablierten Parteien verlieren in der bürgerlichen Mitte deutlich an Terrain. Der Kampf um die Mitte hat sich massiv verschärft.“ Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die Wahlbeteiligung und das Wahlverhalten der Sinus-Milieus bei der Bundestagswahl 2017. Dafür kombiniert sie eine Aggregatanalyse auf Basis kleinräumiger Stimmbezirke mit den Ergebnissen einer repräsentativen Nachwahlumfrage. Die in der Studie beschriebenen Milieus bezeichnen die sogenannten „Sinus-Milieus“, die vom Sinus Institut definiert sind. Alle in der Studie verwendeten Befragungsergebnisse sind repräsentativ.
