Nochmal: 100 Tage Biden
Kürzlich wurde an dieser Stelle auf diverse aktuelle (Online-)Veranstaltungen zum Thema 100 Tage Biden-Regierung hingewiesen. Heute nun ist in der Publikationsreihe „Blickpunkt“ des Berliner Instituts für Parlamentarismusforschung (IParl) ein schriftlicher Bericht über die bisherigen Erfolge und Herausforderungen Präsident Bidens erschienen.
Am gestrigen Abend hat Biden vor beiden Kammern des Kongresses seine erste Rede zur Lage der Nation gehalten, in der er eine anspruchsvolle politische Agenda präsentiert hat. John Harris nennt die Rede auf Politico die „ideologisch anspruchsvollste Rede“ eines Präsidenten in Generationen. Ronald Brownstein fragt in der Zeitschrift Atlantic, ob eine zu progressive Agenda womöglich die Demokraten die Mehrheit bei den Zwischenwahlen im November 2022 kosten wird. Und Laura Bronner und Nathaniel Rakich erläutern im Blog Fivethirtyeight, warum die Republikaner auf absahbare politisch ohnehin im Vorteil sind.
