Lektüre: „Amerikas Gotteskrieger“
Am 19. Oktober 2021 ist das Buch „Amerikas Gotteskrieger. Wie die Religiöse Rechte die Demokratie gefährdet“ der Autorin Annika Brockschmidt erschienen. Darin zeichnet Brockschmidt die Geschichte der heutigen Religiösen Rechten in den Vereinigten Staaten seit 1960 nach und fokussiert insbesondere auf die Jahre unter Donald Trump, auch wenn es auf der Verlagsseite heißt: „Trumps Niederlage war nicht das Ende der Religiösen Rechten in den USA – genauso wenig, wie seine Präsidentschaft ihr Beginn war.“ Details zum Buch sowie eine Leseprobe sind hier abrufbar.
Am 27. Oktober 2021 liest die Autorin auf einer gemeinsam von der Atlantischen Akademie Rheinland-Pfalz sowie der Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Rheinland-Pfalz ausgerichteten Veranstaltung aus ihrem Buch.
